TOOL ALLOWANCE

Some employers assist the apprentice with tool costs. A Tool Allowance is considered to be a paid benefit and must be reported as taxable income. Average: $50.00 (per paycheque) x 26 (pay periods) = $1300.00 a year
UPGRADE TRAINING – SPECIALIZED TRAINING
Costs vary depending on the length and certification of courses. The average
cost is $700.00 a course.
